A belated review, in the hopes that more positive feedback will speed chapter 2 to my library.Point and click with cute graphics, good sounds and a compelling victorian london mystery.A must for any point and click fans, less of a puzzle than monkey island and Thimbleweed park. But what it lacks in challenge it makes up for in being a superb mystery.Only downside is. Where the ♥♥♥♥ is Act 2??????????!!!!!!!!!!?!?!?!?!. The puzzles and the story are not fun..... It was a good 2 hours. I was engroseed, and besides a few weird design quirks and weird puzzles, I was really enjoying the time I spent with this game. Then it ended. And I was underwhelmed by the amount of content. 2.5 hours of content is stretching it, really. Not a bad experience, but $5 or less is a more realistic price point, at least at this point. Maybe when there are more acts, but not right now; not at this price point.. I liked the game a lot. Puzzels and graphics were good and also liked the atmosphere.I am actually curious how the story progresses, so here is hoping for act two.. While not overly difficult puzzle-wise (which I found refreshing coming off some much more obtuse adventure games), the story and characters are engaging and I'm very cutious to see where the next act goes.. Point and click adventure with pixel art akin AGS adventure games. You play as private investigator Sidney Emerson as he is hired to solve cases like a missing dog until things get dirty and heavy.Good:- Mistery story- Adult themesBad:- No voice over- Pixel hunt- Either simple or obtuse puzzles- Short length. I'm glad to see point and click adventure games are starting to make a comeback, I've missed them so much!Now, this game:I enjoyed it a lot! The atmosphere, the storyline, the background music, the pixel art - all of it.I only had 2 issues with this game:1) the puzzles are a little too easy, IMO. The only reason I have 6 hours in was because I left my PC on when we went to run errands and grab food (and we were gone for around 3 hours...so....yeah)2) There is no way to make your character run, or speed up his movement.So, is it worth a pickup? If you can catch it on sale, absolutely! Even if it isn't on sale...6.99 is like a fast food meal or a couple coffee drinks for 2.5-3.5 hours of gameplay with an interesting story....I WILL warn you though - the ending is a cliffhanger and if that sort of thing makes you crazy just get it on sale.psAnd, I have Windows 10 and had no issues with playing this game.. Brilliant. I'm biased towards old school Point n Click pixel graphic games (AGS!) but this one was "good enough" for my fallout fanboy nephew- impressive to hold attention to that demo. Great job, my favorite steam release in a while!
